01 Overview

Our Synthesis Process

We reviewed the data from the directed storytellings and found a set of central themes for wine tastings. We used these themes to construct a mood to help guide our website design. We used our directed storytelling findings to extract three different target groups and created three corresponding representative personas for these groups. We then used these personas to develop mental models for each target user group. The mental models, in turn, helped us design each page of the site, by telling us what each type of user would expect to see on a given page.

Summary of our process:

  • Indentified key themes for wine tastings
  • Indeitifed key motivations and intent behind wine tastings
  • Indentified target user groups
  • Created representative personas for each target user group
  • Created three general mental models
