Help System: Main Window (Edit Mode)

The Edit mode was available only to system supervisors. In this mode, available by clicking the pencil icon in the main window, supervisors could add, remove, or rearrange help topics, as shown here. Selecting a topic would allow the supervisor to rename that topic: the selected topic's name would become editable, following standard Macintosh user-interface conventions for editing filenames in the Finder. The supervisor could also modify the topic's content by editing the right-hand pane. Changes were saved to the database as soon as the user changed the selection or closed the window—again, following Macintosh UI conventions for renaming files.
